My name is Jane Whaley, Nursery Manager. I am a Mum to four beautiful children; two boys, two girls; aged 13, 11, 7 and 4. I adore working with children and helping them to achieve and thrive. I have worked in a variety of Early Years settings for 19 years including breakfast clubs, preschool, childminding and primary schools, from Early Years and up to Year 6. I have also run After School Clubs.

I hold the following certification - Level 4 Nursery Management, Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce, NVQ level 2 in Children and Young People's Workforce, Paedriatric First Aid, Health and Safety at Work, Safeguarding, Prevent, FGM Awareness, Makaton and many more.
​
I also have a passion for music, drama and performing which I incorporate into the nursery curriculum.
I will treat your children as if they are my own and provide a loving and educational setting.
​
All the staff at Flying Gulls Nursery will have a Disclosure and Barring System (DBS) check before commencing employment. Staff will be required to regularly update their training and receive a minimum of 24 hours training a year.
​
Each member of staff at Flying Gulls Nursery will have a Paediatric and Emergency First Aid qualification and will have completed a Food Hygiene course recognised by OFSTED and all will have safeguarding qualifications.
​

Flying Gulls Nursery is based at Mullion Primary School.
​
We will provide wrap around care, as well as offer high quality and flexibility in a safe, clean stimulating and educational environment for families with young children of all abilities.
​
We aim to appeal to and include the local community, offering Breakfast Club from 7.30am. Our breakfast club facility will offer working families greater flexibility in their working day, providing their children with home to home care and offering a choice of breakfast.
​
Our wonderful nursery will be open from 9.00am until 3.00pm.
​
We provide quality early years education within the guidelines of the EYFS framework, covering all seven areas of a child's learning and development.
​
We are an Equal Opportunities setting which provides opportunities for all children to succeed, thrive and feel valued.
​
Our after school care will be offered from 3.15pm until 5.30pm Monday to Friday. Drinks and a snack will be available.
​
After school club will be fun and relaxed after a busy day at school. We want the children to feel at home in their environment.
​
Our Nursery will work closely with the School and Reception class, building strong relationships and offering smooth transition into the School.
